In case my silly links didn't make it obvious, I'm only gently teasing Tove about her great site. In spite of the nits I do love to pick, her site anchors one end of the usefulness curve of Clan Lord related sites. Mine anchors the other end...
I was informed I missed out on seeing Gurgi joining the Nox Sorora as a Gens Dea. Damn, I would have loved to have seen that. Apparently Nori would have love me to see that too, since she wanted some help with it. His gradual conversion from stalwart adversary of Lilit to becoming her own Gens Dea is a fine little tale. My hats off to the small but mighty halfling for pulling it off. Nori assures me he's driven the whole thing from the get go, though Lorian was a big contributor too. This led to another bout of pressure to get the Nox Sorora site update finished. I keep telling Nori that GoLive is easy to use. I mean, it's got to be, Sleipnir uses it! But, I don't think that's why she'd rather have me do it. My inbox fills up with her various notes and scraps of text to be included on the site, and I'm supposed to come up with a structure for all this stuff, and some how wrap it up with various access groups and the like. Maybe I can get to it over the weekend... Seems most of my larger web projects (ok, I haven't had that many, really) involve 95% procrastination and directionless messing around, and 5% frantic, crazed, inspired productivity at the end. If I could just do only the 5%, things would move a lot faster. Tomorrow will be my first Thanksgiving in almost 10 years without my wife. My great friend Jennifer has invited me over to her newly and beautifully renovated apartment to join her and her family, so it should be a lovely time. Thanksgiving isn't really a big deal to me, but I know as Christmas draws near it's going to be difficult. I had many a great Christmas with my wife. (We did have one hum-dinger of a Christmas disaster, but that was due to my family having a meltdown. After that, we stuck to her family.) She really taught me to appreciate the holiday again, which I always viewed as both a hassle, and a potential family powder-keg. This year's Christmas will be interesting.
