Things I learned this weekend:
  • Theatre is bad for the potentially jet lagged. Especially if it's a very late show.
  • Small hands are very difficult to tie securely.
  • It is possible for someone to say something both sarcastic and adorable.
  • Some women can actually resist the urge to shop.
  • There may be other life forms among us that need almost no food and no sleep. They make for remarkable houseguests.
  • I need to find a better way to keep my toys organized. They slide around in the drawer too much, and then it's hard to find things.
  • Conny and I have an awful lot in common.
Conny wrote a fine overview of our whirlwind weekend. It's worth looking at while I weave together some of the more interesting details of the past four days.

Alexis and I greeted her at the airport. I was expecting her to be quite burdened with luggage from my conversations with her, but she actually travelled very efficiently. Of course, that meeting was somewhat loaded, since both her and I had built up a few expectations. In hindsight, I am grateful Alexis was there. If it had just been the two of us, it probably would have been harder to get over those first few moments, which felt absolutely pregnant to me. In spite of what would naturally be a somewhat awkward situation, Conny demonstrated a quiet charm and grace, and it wasn't long before it quite apparent things were going to go very well for the weekend.

By the time we were alone together, it was effortless to be with her. I encouraged her to nap, or take a relaxing bath before our evening plans, but she was insistent that she needed neither. Conversation filled the hours fast, and before we knew it, my friends began to arrive at my apartment for a cocktail before heading off to dinner at La Nouvelle Justine. The group from my apartment arrived at the resturant first, with the other half of the party arriving shortly afterwards. We were 10 in all, with one invitee unable to attend due to a last minute change in her travel agenda.

We had barely been there for 10 minutes when another patron was having her hands secured to a frame in the middle of the restuarant. The staff Master then proceeded to blindfold her, and give her a sound spanking, much to the delight of her friends. Seems it was her birthday too, so I now had a good idea what to expect. It was fun to watch the expressions of my friends as they took in the view. From the spanking, to the attire of the staff, to the Eric Stanton fetish art on the walls, to the videos playing on the monitor, there was a lot to take in.

Donna presented me with a birthday gift of a real, and quite lovely dressage whip from a riding supply shop. It was pretty thoughtful of her, since we had talked about them, and I thought it was sweet that she remembered. Every one at the table was quite curious to see it, though no one requested to actually try it. During our meal, we got to see several people, of both genders, brought out and either tied up or spanked. Before the main course was brought out, I found the house Mistress coming over to collect me for my birthday ordeal. Hands bound and blindfolded, like others before me, I received several minutes of discipline, consisting of hand spanks, a few kicks, and 32 good smacks with a paddle. The paddling sounds much worse than it is, but let their be no doubt: you do feel it. After receiving my "punishment", I returned to the table, with much whooping and cheering.

The food was good, the venue quite festive, and a good time was a had by all. The service was a little dodgy, and Donna was quite upset that the extra "services" she requested for me (at $20 a pop, no less) we're never delivered. At least we weren't charged for them. I don't know if I should be disappointed or grateful. The more responsible and committed people in the group departed after dinner, but Donna, Michael, Oliver, Conny and I went out looking for a bit more fun. Circumstance rebuffed us, and in the end, Conny and I headed home shortly afterwards. The night was far from over though. I think the sun was close to coming up when we did finally retire, after yet more talking, more drinks, and an extended foot massage. For those wondering, she has lovely feet. And for those cads who speculate that romance and decorum are dead, let me correct you. I bid my sweet friend good night, and as she snuggled down in my bed, I settled down on the couch. I then proceeded to lie awake, with my mind spinning for quite some time. Little did I know at the time that the same thing was occuring the bedroom.

That takes us to Saturday...
