Yes, the page design is still a swamp waiting to be drained. Unfortunately, I am a U.S. Army Corps of Engineers of one. Those who click their way through these pages, I feel your pain. Relief will come soon, though not soon enough.

I can also say that relief will come soon but not soon enough about the Alchera server. The current Internet hosting provider, like so many Internet companies, is feeling the economic crunch. In order to cut costs they have laid off their entire support staff, and are renting space to house all their servers in the monkey cage of the local zoo. Now the monkeys handle all support requests. Unfortunately one of the more innovative simeans decided mashing a banana into the ventilation vents qualified as an "upgrade." Soon the hardware that is Alchera will be in much more loving and supportive hands. Shortly after that, with any luck, we'll be back online, and sucking the living and breathing hours out of our passionate and devoted addicts players. Once we get the banana out of the computer, that is.

This is, of course, assuming the support chimps don't just drop the whole thing into a post box...


Oh, you mean THAT top!

There is always a peril in being too deeply steeped in the jargon of a subculture. Words which have a clear meaning to me may confuse the uninitiated. Apparently, even in spite of links to clarify, there was some confusion regarding the SM terms top, bottom switch in yesterday's post.

For all those who thought I mean being physically on top, or physically on the bottom, I apologize for not being more clear. Next time, perhaps I'll have a Flash animation to demonstrate exactly what I mean. On second though, I'll just stick with links.

When this page seems like it takes forever to load, it's usually due to BlogVoices having problems. This page tries to load some scripts from their site in its header, and if there's a problem with the connection, the page will just sit there until it times out. I know its annoying. Just remember that the page will eventually load, though without any of the BlogVoices links working.
